TCL 10 SE Unlocked Android Smartphone Review
I’ve grown to have a great appreciation for phones. There are numerous things that we can do with them. We can text, talk, use apps, surf the web, and more.
It’s also important to take care of your phone because anything can happen to it. You don’t want it to crack, get corrupted, or hacked, and you especially don’t want it to go missing.
The TCL 10 SE Unlocked Android Smartphone is a nice phone choice. For any current flip phone users who may be looking to make an upgrade, this could be a good match. As someone who’s previously used Motorola, I find something like this to be a fair choice to transition to.
The TCL 10 SE Unlocked Android Smartphone may not be the most popular phone type or made by the most popular phone brand. At the same time, it doesn’t have to be. It’s not always about popularity. Many people like to use smartphones and iPhones.
The Pros Can Always Make Positive Draws
Pros are what tend to provide balance to drawbacks.
One pro is that this particular TCL 10 SE is inexpensive. Over time, the price will gradually decrease. Sometimes the price may fluctuate depending on circumstances and the circumstances may vary. If you don’t plan to get a certain phone when it first launches because of its cost, then waiting for a period of time afterward is never a bad option.
The next pro to point out is that the phone screen size is 6.2 inches along with its 83% to 84% screen-to-body ratio. For this kind of phone, that’s fairly large. In many ways, size can matter and you want to be able to know what you’re looking at on the screen.
Another pro is that the phone comes with apps already installed. That’s the case with any smartphone or iPhone since they both are a huge step up from flip phones.
The next pro to point out is its internal storage which is 64GB along with 4GB RAM. Additionally, storage can reach a maximum of 128GB with the use of a micro SD card.
When it comes to storage, keep in mind that apps may take up more storage space as they update over time. Uninstalling apps you don’t use or need can help balance out the internal storage.
This next pro is a big one. When it comes to battery, you want one that can last for a very long time. You want that with any phone you may be looking to choose. The TCL 10 SE has a 4000 milliamp-hour built-in battery.
Wrapping up the pros, the next one can be an attraction for camera users. It has an ultra-wide-angle camera. If you like taking pictures and recording videos with your phone, then this could win you over.
The display itself is 1080p which is a plus when you want to look at pictures, watch videos of high quality, go on social media, or a combination of all three.
You Can Never Really Escape The Cons
Here’s where some of the cons come in and try to turn people away.
One con is that the Motorola does not come with a phone case. This is not really much of a surprise as this is a common occurrence. It’s not often that you can receive a new phone with a built-in phone case but it’s still a possibility.
Going along similar lines, another con is that it also does not come with a screen protector. This is also unsurprising as screen protectors are not usually built into phones.
One significant con is that this TCL 10 SE, in particular, does not come with its own SIM card. That’s always a disappointment because if a phone requires a SIM card, it would make sense for the appropriate SIM card to be included with the corresponding phone.
Going back to the camera, it’s not the perfect one. Sometimes certain ultra-wide-angle cameras can have their faults, especially when trying to take high-quality pictures.
The phone’s octa-core mobile processor also is not the most up-to-date. This can affect its performance to where it doesn’t operate as fast.
The next con can be significant. This phone is not compatible with CDMA carriers. If you use a CDMA carrier and don’t want to switch, then this phone is not a match for you.
This next con can also be significant. This TCL 10 SE, in particular, does not support 5G, NFC & 5Ghz wifi. This is a real shame. Without any of the three, wifi and location can be a bit of a double-edged sword.
Overall, It’s Worth The Buy
Many of us tend to be fine with choosing something without having any specific preferences. Then there are many of us who might be a bit on the picky side when making a choice. One particular product can never really please everyone but it can still have a way of creating something of a following.
The same can be said about the TCL 10 SE Unlocked Android Smartphone. I know that there are many others who have owned one and still love it.
It may not be for everyone and it may not be everyone’s preferred choice. When looking at all of the factors the phone may choose the user.

My grandmother’s phone is on the fritz and I have been looking for a replacement unit. My concerns were that it was not too small or alternatively had a big face. That it has pre-loaded software to make the start-up as seamless as possible. That it was not going to break the bank and therefore was budget-conscious. All these features make the TCL 10 SE a definite consideration for me and I have not even mentioned the nice add of 12GB for all those family and church videos she likes to keep. Thanks for the review this certainly is one on my options list.
I’m glad that I could give this review. There’s always something for someone. It’s never too late for an upgrade.
I know that the TCL 10 SE is not the most popular phone. But I think this has to do with people not researching about their phone’s specs as they should. After reading your post, it has been a no-brainer for me. And I like that the internal storage is high. With 64GB I will be able to do most of what I normally do. And 4GB RAM is great too. Additionally, I have the option of expanding to 128GB.
You make valid points. When someone doesn’t do their research on something they might want, disappointment will follow. The TCL 10 SE could be the choice of someone’s dreams. Ultimately, it’s all up to preference and choice.
