Mobile Defense Army: There’s No War, But There’s A Strength In Numbers

A Mobile Device Can Always Use A Barrier

We all tend to love the mobile devices that we may currently own. Some of us may also find ourselves falling in love with any additional devices that we could possibly one day own. Many of us may own at least one or two of them if not more. Cell phones and computer laptops are usually among the first things we use before we decide on adding to the list.

Tablets and iPads can also likely to make eventual additions into our personal inventories. Those four device types in particular are often the most talked about. In the popularity world, one device may get more air time than the others and then it switches to a different device. Next is a matter of externally protecting our devices. The more layers of protection that are added to the devices, the larger the mobile defense army becomes.

With Similarities Also Comes Differences

Although certain subjects have come up in the past, it can never a bad thing to touch on them again every once in a little while. There’s no exception to that here. How many mobile devices do you own? Do you take extra steps to make sure all of them are protected? It’s wise to do so in case something happens.

Mobile devices can often get compared to one another. There will always be pros and cons when it comes to any device. What those pros and cons are can very well depend on the type of device. They aren’t all made the same. They all can fall into different categories. The categories can be hard to keep up with as the detailed information can become more complex.

As it was mentioned before, no one wants to really pay money to repair a damaged device. Some may learn the hard way and do so anyway. Being proactive can ultimately prevent that. What do I mean by being proactive? You may want to purchase a protector of some kind that’s compatible with your device. If you can take all the appropriate steps, you’ll save yourself time and trouble later.

Types Of Devices And Their Corresponding Protection Layers

As a start, let’s tap into the cell phone. We all use them every day. If you told me that you’ve never used one, then chances are you’d be lying. Cell phones are more vulnerable to becoming damaged than you might think. How can you lower the risk of there being damage? Well, there happen to be several ways.

One way is with the use of a protective phone case. A second way is with the use of a screen protector. A third way is making sure to never drop the phone. One more way is by doing a combination of or ideally all three. Phones can also be vulnerable to liquid and so waterproof cases can also prove to be helpful.

Next, there’s the computer desktops. There are screen protectors for them. Their purpose is more for protecting your eyes, minimizing dust and lessening the chances of there being scratches on the screen. They could still possibly be useful if something somehow manages to make contact with the monitor and potentially cause permanent damage to the screen.

With a desktop computer, there’s lesser risk. One of those reasons being because it’s not portable and so there’s also little to no chance of dropping it. That doesn’t mean that the risk is completely gone. What if liquid was spilled on the keyboard or any other exposed areas of the desktop computer? You would want to know what to do if that were to ever happen. In any case, you’ll want to take the proper steps like you would for its counterpart.

Speaking of its counterpart, there’s the computer laptop. They can also use screen protectors in the same way as desktops. They also can use protective cases. Protective cases can vary by laptop size and sometimes by model. Unlike the desktop, the laptop is smaller and portable. Both of those differences are what make the risk significantly higher. Laptops have a higher chance of being dropped. They also have a higher chance of being exposed to liquid spills. Spills are usually a laptops worst enemy. With keyboard covers and trackpad covers, they can stand a better chance.

Other Devices And Their Corresponding Protection Layers

Next, there’s the tablet which is like a hybrid. Like the laptop, it’s also portable but even smaller. Many of them are touchscreen and many are also keyboard tablets. Like its other device counterparts, tablets also have their respective case and screen protectors just in case they’re dropped.

They’re also vulnerable to liquid spills as well as liquid submergence. Since there are several tablet variations, different methods might have to be followed. For the touchscreen variation, you want to take the same steps as you would for a cellphone. For the keyboard variation, you want to take the same steps as you would with a laptop.

Also, there’s the iPad. It’s pretty much the same as a tablet but made from a different manufacturer with different operating systems. Currently, there are nearly half a dozen models. Just like the tablet, it’s also vulnerable to liquid. Just like with the depending variations of its counterparts, you want to follow the appropriate steps to minimize as much damage as you can.

No Matter The Device, The Armor It May Need Can Help

There’s no escaping the fact that running an unneccesary risk can likely lead to something unfortunate happening. Many of us are open to looking for ways to make things just that much easier. Not everything can be helped though as we can only do but so much. It can be what’s in our control that will give us the advantage we need.

I hope you all enjoyed this article. I would love to hear your thoughts so feel free to comment. Also, feel free to ask any questions you might have as I want to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you so much for taking some time to give this a read.
