TCL 20 SE Android 11 Smartphone, Review
In truth, everyone loves a good phone. It’s something that many phone users have grown accustomed to. Phones have have become more versatile over time.
Nowadays, it’s hard to imagine life without them. Although living without them has already been done based on past history, we don’t want to stumble back to that past history.
The TCL 20 SE Android Smartphone 11 happens to be an amazing phone. Upgrades have a way of being exciting. It’s bound to be a well-suited choice for anyone who just might be looking for something to upgrade to. It can make a fine choice for someone regardless of what kind of brand he or she has used in the past.
The TCL 20 SE Android Smartphone 11 is not the most well known phone. At the same time, it doesn’t have to be. It’s not always about popularity. Many people like to use smartphones and iPhones.
Pros Have Their Ways Of Making Things Better
Pros can help provide balance to certain perceived drawbacks.
One pro is that this particular TCL 20 SE is inexpensive. Over time, the price will gradually decrease. Sometimes the price may fluctuate depending on circumstances and the circumstances may vary.
If you don’t plan to get a certain phone when it first launches because of its cost, then waiting for a period of time afterward is never a bad option.
The next pro is that it is unlocked to GSM (Global System for Mobile) carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile.
Another pro worth noting is that it has a fast-acting fingerprint sensor. In addition, it also comes with a face unlock.
Another pro that’s interesting to note is that the TCL 20 SE has stereo speakers. With an affordable phone like this one, this feature sets the TCL 20 SE apart from much of its competition and gives it more of an edge. This proves to be true because this tends to be a bit more of a rare occurrence for this kind of phone model in recent times.
Another pro to point out is its display. It has a 6.82-inch V-notch display, an 83.2 to 90% screen-to-body ratio, and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. Also, at 60 hertz, its display is IPS (in-plane switching) LCD (liquid-crystal display). This is a nice large size for a smartphone.
Adding to the display, it is 720p with a PPI (Pixels Per Inch) of 263. In many ways, size can matter and you want to be able to know what you’re looking at on the screen.
The next pro is a big one and is a huge attraction. Its internal storage is 128GB along with 4GB RAM. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor.
Additionally, storage can reach a maximum of 256GB when a micro SD card is used. When storage, one thing to keep in mind is that apps can take up more space.
Without any doubt, this is completely true when more apps are added and installed. This may also as they continue to update over time. Uninstalling apps you don’t use or need can help create more internal storage.
The pro is also another big one to consider. The TCL 20 SE’s quad-camera setup. It has a 48-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera, and a 2 mega-pixel macro camera. It also has portrait mode for its front and rear cameras.
Wrapping up with the pros, another big one is the TCL 20 SE’s battery which is 5000 milliamp-hour internal. This helps if you want a battery that can last for a long time before it comes to the point when the phone needs to go on the charger.
Unfortunately, Pros Will Always Be Followed Up With The Cons
Here’s where some of the cons come in and try to turn people away.
One con is that the TCL 20 SE does not come with a phone case. This is actually something that happens very often. There’s never a gaurantee that you will receive a new phone along with a phone case but it also doesn’t mean that a phone case can’t be included.
This can be a bit of an annoyance for some. The reason for that can be if you don’t want your phone to be riddled with fingerprints, you’ll have a phone case to help minimize that.
Similarly, another con is that it also does not come with a screen protector. This is also happens on a frequent basis since screen protectors are also not always provided.
The issue with fingerprints can also be brought up in this case. If you a desire to keep your phone screen in a near perfect condition, a strong screen protector is likely to deliver on that.
One significant con is this TCL 20 SE, in particular, does not come with its own SIM card. This can strike a bit of a bad chord especially if a SIM card is one of the most crucial requirements. It would be imperative for the right SIM card to be included with the phone.
Another con is that it has no wireless charging. That can be a shame because as phones become more modern, a feature like wireless charging can become more common.
The next con can be significant. This phone is not compatible with CDMA carriers. If you use a CDMA carrier and don’t want to switch to a different one, then this phone is not a match for you.
This next con can also be significant. This TCL 20 SE, in particular, has a broadband that only goes up to 4G. If you’re looking for a broadband that success it, then this phone is likely not going be a match for you.
Wrapping up on the cons, this is a bit of a deeper dig on the display. When watching videos, you’ll be watching them at 720p.
Although the TCL 20 SE is capable of playing at 1080p and higher, the display is limited and ultimately can adjust back down to 720p. This may be a bit of a gripe for some. There’s always going to be a quirk here or there.
Overall, It’s Worth The Buy
We’re all different. Some of us are specific, some of us are not, and some of us are not really sure. Sometimes it’s not easy to make a choice.
One product is not going to be the answer to everything. Pleasing everyone is simply impossible but a product can still have its appeal.
This proves to be true about the TCL 20 SE Android Smartphone 11. There are other users who have owned one and may still currently have one.
Realistically, it’s not meant for everyone since it’s not going to be everyone’s first choice. When looking at all of the factors, the TCL 20 SE Android Smartphone 11 is well balanced and can make be a good match for anyone who wants to have it.
I hope that you enjoyed this review. If you have any questions about the TCL 20 SE Android Smartphone 11 or want to give your own opinions, feel free to share your comments.

I think the top selling point for me would be the long-lasting battery. There is nothing more frustrating than having to charge your battery all the time, especially if it is more than once a day. That is definitely the first thing I look at when purchasing a new phone.
The other plus pointe is the big screen. At the moment I am battling a bit with the smaller screen, especially when it comes to typing so next time I will definitely go for a bigger display.
Thanks for the review and it is good to see that there are still good smart phones around besides Samsung and Apple.
I agree about the battery. It’s a key component of any phone. I will make a note though. Constantly charging a phone overnight could cause a possible issue or two with the battery.
If the battery is at 100% and it still stays on the charger for many hours afterward, then that can cause the battery life to deplete faster. Once the battery is charged at 100%, it’s best to take it off the charger as soon as it reaches full charge.
Large phone screens attract many of us. I’m no different. It’s never too late for an upgrade. You’re very welcome on the review. I’m glad I could give one.
It’s amazing of the many phones that are out there and here is another one that has caught our attention and is worth the investment. Every phone I believe has its set back none is perfect all have their flaws so I believe it is as each individual prefers. I heard on youtube that in order to get a longer life out of your phones’ battery ” let it charge at 80-89%”.
This is one of those smartphones I find to be intriguing. It’s true that all phones have their differences. The same also goes for phone batteries. Speaking of that, I’ve never heard of charging between 80 to 89%. I’ll have to see if I can find out more on that. There are batteries that are capable of staying at 100% for a certain amount of time after they’re fully charged.
One effective way of achieving this can be by removing the phone from the charger as soon as it reaches 100%. But there’s also no harm with leaving the phone on a charger one or two minutes after it reaches 100% either. That’s something I’ve grown to pay attention to because charging a phone overnight can possible do more harm than good.
This is something that I’ve grown to learn and I’m taking that lesson with me. I especially practice this every time I have a new phone. Now, it’s made battery charging easier and I can tell you that it’s worth it. I don’t know how long you’ve had your phone. When it comes the time that you get a new one, see if the charging method I try also works for you.
Thanks for this review of this cell phone as I have been considering buying a new phone and am undecided on what I want. I definitely want an unlocked phone. I am not familiar with TCL so this is a good education for me. The cons are not that bad at all as I see more value in the pros. I agree it’s worth the buy and I will strongly consider this phone.
I’m glad I could give this review. The more details I can give, the better. There are a lot of good phones out there and this is one of them. For you to look at it from an optimistic perspective is something that deserves respect. There can always be something for everyone.
Despite the mentioned cons, I think this phone is really good value. I would want a case and a screen protector, but they are affordable, so that is not an issue. I’m loving the color! Aurora Green.
For someone who does not want to spend a great deal, but would like a decent phone, I think that this is a great option. Thanks for a very honest and informative review.
I’m glad I could give this review. I always look to provide every bit of detail there is to provide. The more we know, the better. Although there will never be such a thing as a “perfect” phone, finding the closest match possible is where it always counts.
Great article, I have always been a Samsung cell phone person. I saw this TCL phone and right away I felt attracted to it. I like the battery it is great and its features, even photographs, and movies. Why pay so much money for a brand name when this phone does the same things an expensive one does. I strongly recommend this cell phone. The price is great and it looks and feels great.
I got one for myself and two for my two kids, my husband is planning to get his lol. This is a great phone to use.
Some may prefer a particular brand and never try anything else. Others can be more curious and open. Battery life is one of the most important factors when it comes to mobile devices. It’s good to be open to different things. Although it’s not the perfect phone, it can still be a match made for someone looking for it.
